A Serious RedM Roleplay Server

Westbound

The West Awaits

An upcoming serious RedM roleplay server set in the late 1800s American frontier. Build a life out west, make your name, and write a story the territory remembers.

01 · The Server

What is Westbound RP?

Westbound RP is a serious roleplay server for RedM, the Red Dead Redemption 2 roleplay platform. It is set in the late 1800s American frontier, a time of railroads pushing west, young towns finding their feet, and law that ends where the wilderness begins.

Here you don't just play, you live a character. Every job, friendship, debt and gunfight is part of a persistent world that carries on with or without you. Ride in as a lawman, an outlaw, a rancher or a drifter, and the territory becomes yours to leave a mark on.

We're in development now and preparing for testing. The goal is simple: build the most grounded, immersive western roleplay around, and do it properly.

"A character's choices leave traces; the town remembers; the West is indifferent and dangerous and worth surviving."

02 · The Foundation

Built From Scratch

Westbound doesn't run on a public template. Our framework is written from the ground up, in-house, so every system behaves exactly the way we want it to. The economy, the law, survival, jobs and progression are all custom built and tuned for one thing: grounded, believable roleplay.

Custom Framework
Written entirely in-house. No public base code, no borrowed systems.
Made for Roleplay
Every system is designed around story and immersion, not grind.
Built to Last
Tuned for performance and stability, and made to keep growing over time.
03 · The Rules of the Territory

How the West Works

The systems behind Westbound are built around one idea: the frontier should feel like a place, not a game.

Reputation

Your Name Means Something

Standing is earned and sticky. Who you wrong, who you protect, what debts you carry - it follows you. The territory has a long memory, and a longer reach.

Economy

The Dollar is Earned

Money is scarce, loseable, and worth a story. Cash on your person can be robbed. A slow frontier economy means every dollar has weight - and every big purchase was a decision.

Persistence

The Territory Remembers

Choices leave traces - records, debts, property, reputation. The world carries on whether you are riding or not. Your character's past travels ahead of them into every town.

Institutions

Authority is Real

A sheriff's office, a circuit court, a land office, a bank. Not set pieces - institutions with records, jurisdiction, and teeth. They make life on the frontier difficult in exactly the right ways.

04 · Who You Become

The Frontier

Every life finds a place out west. Choose your path, or let the territory choose it for you.

I

Lawmen

Marshals and deputies holding a fragile order across the territory.

II

Outlaws

Robbers, rustlers and guns for hire, always one step ahead of the noose.

III

Ranchers

Cattle owners and ranch hands working the open range from dawn to dusk.

IV

Traders

Merchants and freighters moving goods along long, dangerous roads.

V

Hunters

Trackers and trappers who live off the land and the wild that comes with it.

VI

Doctors

Surgeons and apothecaries, often the only thing between a patient and the grave.

VII

Business Owners

Saloon keepers, smiths and shopkeeps building the towns of tomorrow.

VIII

Gamblers

Card players, hustlers and confidence men working the saloons and river towns.

IX · The Unknown

Who Do You Want to Be?

The frontier doesn't ask who you used to be. Whatever life you want to carve out - lawman, drifter, preacher, merchant or something the territory has never seen - it's yours to write.

Questions

Is the server open yet? +

Not yet. We’re still in development and putting the world together properly before anyone rides in. The fastest way to know the moment that changes is to join the Discord.

Are applications open? +

Not right now. When we open things up, whether that’s testing or full whitelist applications, it gets announced in the Discord first. There’s no public form to fill in just yet.

Is it whitelisted? +

Yes. Westbound is whitelist only. We’d rather have a smaller community that takes roleplay seriously than a crowded server where nobody stays in character.

How do I become a tester? +

Come say hello in the Discord and let us know you’re interested. We pick testers from people who are active, genuine about RP, and happy to give honest feedback while things are still rough around the edges.

Do I need Red Dead Redemption 2 to play? +

Yes. RedM runs on top of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, so you’ll need the game and RedM installed. We’ll post a simple setup guide before testing begins.

Does it cost anything? +

No, Westbound is free to join. If we ever offer cosmetic extras to help cover server costs, nothing that affects roleplay or gives an unfair advantage will sit behind a paywall.

What makes Westbound different? +

Two things. The framework is built entirely from scratch, so we’re not boxed in by someone else’s code, and we treat this as a serious RP world first and a game second. The setting, the systems and the rules all point the same way: stories worth remembering.
